HISTORY

1985, ESTABLISHMENT…

Our company was established in 1985 in Mecidiyeköy, Istanbul, as a sole proprietorship under the name "Burak Ticaret Ali Ekrem Tanyolaç," supplying wholesale materials to hardware and stationery stores. In 1991, with the addition of furniture casters to our product portfolio and their increasing importance in our business, our workplace moved to Çağlayan, which was then the most important center for furniture accessories.

1996, TRADE FAIR EXPERIENCES…

The 1990s were the golden age of domestic trade fairs. Fairs showcasing all kinds of innovations and imported products in the hardware and furniture sub-industries attracted great interest. In those days, with the limited communication and information opportunities we have today, trade fairs were the most important tool for promotion. Although we are a retail company, our continuous participation in the Hardware and Furniture fairs and the TÜYAP İntermob fairs has made a significant contribution to our company's growth and motivation.

2000, “BURAK TEKER”…

In 1998, due to the need for a larger space, we moved our business from Çağlayan to a store in Ümraniye Tepeüstü. By then, we had become a well-known and trusted name throughout Turkey, with numerous distinguished customers. However, despite doing this business for almost ten years, we didn't have a recognized brand. The name "Burak Teker" was given to us by our colleagues working as shop assistants in furniture accessory shops.

2002, PRODUCTION…

With the addition of DIY stores, furniture factories, and corporate firms to our customer portfolio, it became clear that we could no longer sustain our growth as a purely sales company. To offer our customers more affordable, faster, and higher-quality products, we began manufacturing our core products. This led to investments in molds and machinery, and an increase in staff, resulting in expanding our operations first to İMES and then to DES Industrial Zones. In 2007, as the need for new models and products increased in the sector, we established our own mold shop and began producing our own unique designs. Today, we hold nearly 30 registered industrial property rights with the Turkish Patent Institute, including patents, utility models, and industrial designs.

2011, EXPORTS…

We started our export activities in 2011 with our participation in the Interzum Fair in Germany. We subsequently participated in the same fair again in 2013, 2017, 2019, and 2025. Today, our main export market is Europe, covering almost all of Central and Western Europe. We also export to nearly 25 countries, including Mexico, South Korea, Vietnam, and the UAE.

2017, BURAK TEKER AŞ…

In the developing Turkish market and on the global stage, every step we took, and will take, to gain a foothold and establish our brand faced bureaucratic obstacles as a sole proprietorship. Furthermore, due to the increasing need for corporate structure as our growth progressed, our company was registered as a joint-stock company in 2017.

The 2020s…

In a sector experiencing numerous crises and upheavals both domestically and internationally, where competition had become a chaotic struggle, manufacturing had ceased to be as attractive as it once was. However, these years were also the years when our investments accelerated. Thanks to this, we emerged from the pandemic and regional wars that shook the world, as in every crisis, stronger and more prosperous.

LET'S CONTINUE ON OUR WAY…

Our journey, which began with a 5 m² workshop in Çağlayan, continues today in three separate facilities with a total of 4,000 m² of indoor space. As one of the youngest companies producing in this sector, the trust, value, and loyalty we have received from our customers, business partners, and employees in a relatively short period of time for a company has brought us to this point today. This not only reminds us of a brief history but also illuminates our future as a company that champions the nobility of labor and production, respects human values, and strives to be a modern firm.
